All the must visit places in Tel Aviv that should be on your itinerary.
When a city has been named the ‘Mediterranean Capital Of Cool’ by the New York Times, you know it needs to be on your bucket list. Israeli’s second city, Tel Aviv, is just that. Bordered on one side by long stretches of beautiful Mediterranean beaches and the other a city full of architectural beauty, Tel Aviv has it all. From world class nightlife, a buzzing cultural scene, incredible food, sandy beaches and a ‘city that never sleeps’ mentality, there’s endless unique experiences to explore in one of the most vibrant cities in the world. We get it. You've been so busy packing your bag with the essentials (BB tanning oils, bikinis) that your itinerary has been your last priority. We got your back babe. Here is a BB HQ approved must see, do & eat itinerary for your next weekend away in Israel’s hot spot.
Tel Aviv is a city with a savvy attitude and serious cultural flair, so it’s no surprise that exploring its diverse cultural scene is a must. Theaters, dance centers and concert halls are found all across the city. Watch some street dances or really immerse yourself and book tickets to see the Israeli Orchestra.
You can’t visit a city that’s known for its culture and not check out the museums. From the world-renowned Tel Aviv Museum of Art to smaller museums and galleries that take you through the city's rich history and unique architecture. If you only have time to do one, definitely head to the Museum of Art which is a visual masterpiece in itself. Showing the works of both Israeli and international artists, it’s a must see and do activity.
Blend in with the locals and see their unique style in the flesh. Spend an afternoon with a coffee from Cafelix (the best in Tel Aviv) in hand as you roam the streets and see the street style and soak up the urban vibe. There are plenty of cute local stalls with uniquely Tel Aviv style so make sure you have some Israeli Shekel in your purse so you can do some shopping.
Whether you’re visiting for a week or a weekend, it’s not a real vacay without a trip to the beach. With such a long sandy coastline, it’s no surprise that Tel Aviv has some of the best beaches in Israel. Spend the day soaking up the sun with your fave Bali Body tanning oils and watch the locals play a game of beach volleyball. There are plenty of beaches to get your tan on but our favourites are Hilton Beach, Jerusalem Beach and Gordon Beach. All in walking distance to a host of restaurants and outdoor beach bars, so you can watch the sunset with a margarita in hand afterwards. Sounds like a perfect day to us.
Get ready for a night on the town with some Shimmering Body Oil & BB Cream and explore Tel Aviv’s world class nightlife. From restaurants, mega-clubs to secret neighbourhood bars, there is something fun to do all through the night for every babe. If you’re after a low-key wine & dine night then head to Par Derriere. An iconic wine bar with an extensive selection of great wine and great food. It’s sophisticated, laid back and super romantic if you happen to have a cute date. Afterwards head to Bicicletta, for a cocktail. The fun, vibrant bar is popular with both locals and tourists and the perfect place for a night cap or two.
Three words: Vegan. Food. Tour. We don’t know about you but a vegan food tour sounds like absolute heaven to us. A company called Tourist Israel holds the 3-hour tours that take you inside the booming vegan culture in Tel Aviv. You will visit a selection of Tel Aviv’s most popular vegan eateries, taste testing a handful of delicious vegan treats along the way. Stops include a boutique vegan restaurant, vegan bakery and vegan ice-cream shop. It’s literal vegan heaven.
Visiting a new country or city isn't complete without enjoying a traditional Israeli meal. Grab a famous Israeli breakfast at a local cafe of small dips and spreads served alongside eggs, salad, bread and juice. Pita is also a classic in Israel, get falafels or your choice of filling and enjoy some of the best gourmet food served inside a fresh, fluffy pita. Anyone else hungry now? Get me to Tel Aviv stat.
