What is the difference between the Ultra Dark Express and the Violet Express?

Ultra Dark Express is formulated with a green-based colour guide, which appears on application but does not reflect the final tan. This green tone may be more noticeable on lighter skin tones, but it develops into a natural-looking glow and works to balance red undertones for a bronzed finish. Violet Express, on the other hand, uses a violet base to achieve similarly deep results with a more olive-toned payoff.

How long should I leave the Violet Express on for?

Violet Express can be worn for between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the depth of colour you’re after. Leaving the tan on for longer will allow it to develop darker.

Does the Violet Express dry quickly?

How to guide

Step 1: For an even streak free tan, exfoliate prior to application, moisturise any dry areas including elbows, knees, ankles and feet.

Step 2: Shake well. For best results, apply using a tanning mitt in long sweeping motions, starting at the ankles and working your way up. Then move towards your back and apply in the same motion. Ensure all areas are covered before lightly gliding any excess tan from the mitt over your hands and feet.

Step 3: Wash off after 1 hour for a light-to-medium glow, or leave on 2–3 hours for a deep, dark tan. Pat dry and allow skin to fully dry before dressing.
